"Das Krankenzimmer" or "The Sick Room", 1920
Black and white lithograph of "Das Krankenzimmer" or "The Sick Room" which is part of a series of works artist Rachel Szalit-Marcus did for Sholom Aleichem's "Menshelakh un Stsenes" published in 1922. The image is of a older man laying in a bed with a young boy by his side, an woman to his right and a man, probably a doctor, seated at the foot of the bed. Medicine bottles are on the bedside table and a Star of David is over the mans head on the wall.

This is a letter written in Germany to Bella and Levi Loeb in October 1945 in Darmstadt, Germany. In the letter, the writer talks about Ernest Loeb visiting them. The writer then talks about their family. Their two sons have died in the war, but their daughter Margot is still alive. The writer says that Ernest is visiting again and that they have to go. Photocopy of citizenship papers issued to Levin Loewenstein, Henry Lowenstein's great-grandfather, by the Royal Prussian Town of Lessen granting him Prussian citizenship. The certificate spells out the duties and obligations of a citizen and confers the protection of the Kingdom of Prussia.

Rikewoller was born in 1907 in Germany. He escaped Nazi Germany around 1938. In 1957 he became a naturalized U.S. citizen in Denver.
